Professional Credentials

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Las Cruces and the State of New Mexico.  I practiced as a counselor in Spokane, WA from 1987 to 2009 before moving to Las Cruces.

If you’d like to read about my personal story, I’ve written a brief summary describing how I made the choice to become a counselor.

I have a Graduate degree from Whitworth College of Spokane, WA in Guidance and Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Washington University in Applied Psychology.

I’ve had training in affective, cognitive, and behavioral therapies through various classes, trainings, and workshops. This training included:

    • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
    • Integrative Breathwork
    • NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
    • Alchemical Hypnotherapy

I also completed the state of Washington’s required courses for Chemical Dependency Certification.

I’ve been practicing as a counselor since 1987. I enjoy working with adults in individual, couple, and group settings, as well as with adolescents. In my counseling and therapeutic practice, I work with people on a range of issues:
